Join us for weekly protests, Friday’s, 4:30pm-5:30pm at Main & Church.
No one is paid. Nothing radical, extreme, violent, or terrorist-like here. Just exercising our constitutional rights… peacefully.
We protest every single Friday evening. Because we believe that our consistent presence gives others hope. Join us in calling for a return to democratic principles.
Please remember safety first at protests.
- Bright colors and headlamps are always a good idea, we are sometimes protesting after dark.
- Pay attention to the movement of cars. Do not assume they see you. Cross the street with the crosswalk sign, with a marshal or with others. Make eye contact with the cars you are crossing in front of.
- Whenever possible protest with a buddy.
- Do not interact with agitators, period.
- Feel free to take pictures of vehicles that give you a bad vibe.
- When we are done, we leave, no lingering.

“Another really successful protest this evening. I counted 37 but I think I was on the low end. Thank you to everyone who showed up! The honking was exuberant. And kudos to everyone who remembered to wait for a marshal to cross the street with them. I got soundly reprimanded by Sharon for forgetting right out of the gate. You have to watch me like a hawk!” ~Elizabeth

“Great signs! Thank you for braving the cold and standing up for democracy!”
“Everyone of you get bonus points for standing out here in the cold!”
So grateful for you! Drove by both sides of street again this week, honking & yelling, “Thank you!!!” Love the chain reaction of others honking, once I start honking.

“We have people protesting who’s loved ones have been impacted by the attitudes promoted by our administration. Join us this Friday to show solidarity in pushing back against hate.”
“Thank you for showing up and standing up!”
“I love the young man who asked if we had a spare sign, parked and joined us!”

“Thank you for being there, in shared community and voice. As one sign put it, Renee Good Should Alive Today. ” ~Sharon

“These have become my people. The joyful connection of showing up each Friday, is energy. We give each other hope. When we are holding hope in our hands, as protest signs, when we are freezing cold… we manifest the very real possibility of resistance and rebuilding.”
“That’s my town. Proud!”

“I’m a teacher! Love your sign!!!!”

“It’s Friday, so you all know where we were. So what if it’s 21°…we had cocoa prepared and ready to fire up when we got home. I feel a real sense of gratitude from drivers that we all are there. We might be small but we are mighty! The funniest comment yet… some guy rolled down his window and shouted “Everyone is laughing at you!” The chuckle I got from that kept me warm the whole time.” ~Elizabeth

“I was proud to be part of this good trouble!”
